We originally started as Pritchett Consulting, founded in 1987 by Robert M. Pritchett, who has been programming computers professionally since starting college in 1972, and has worked as an independent contractor as early as 1974. We were first incorporated as RMP Systems, Inc. in 1990. In 1991-1992 we had the IRS as a client, which provided rather unique experience and insight. In 1993 we added RMP Consulting Partners to help with marketing. In 1995 we added our first additional consultant and realized the advantages of growing to a multi-person consulting practice. In 1997, we developed our modular Division structure and incorporated as a Limited Liability Company under the Texas LLC Act. By 2000, our annual revenue had roughly doubled 3 years in a row.
In 2003, we realized that in many ways, we're a co-op of computer consultants, and we also saw that our modular structure could benefit from the new Limited Liability Series concept created by §18-215 of the Delaware LLC Act, so we incorporated RMP Cooperative Enterprises LLC under it and registered it in Texas as a co-op. This gives us the ability to quickly and easily incorporate additional companies as needed to provide new lines of service and to respond to opportunities. So, we carved out RMP Diversified Partners LLS to handle the benefits, legal, tax, and administrative issues for our people, and RMP Corporate Services LLS to provide similar services for companies. We create additional companies as needed for each new client or project; RMP Consulting Partners LLC primarily maintains our name recognition and coordinates our marketing. After the merger which completed our reorganization, RMP Systems LLC continues as the Manager of all of our companies.
